Today we’re going to be introducing the folk metal culture, which is a sub-genre to metal/heavy metal music.
Folk metal music started mainly in north European countries and took over the world within a short period of time.
The concept of this type of metal is having all of the heavy metal feeling mixed with the essence of traditional music, mainly medieval and Celtic.
Many famous bands have played some folk metal, such as Manowar, Nightwish, Iron Maiden, Moonspell and many more.
The lyrics that are used in these songs invoke a sense of history, war, cataclysm, adventure, journey, fantasy, mythology in the listeners and the band itself.
In concerts you can notice that the bands would typically dress up with some leather and perhaps have some paint on their faces, they would be looking like barbarians or even medieval warriors.
In addition folk metal may be confused with other sub-genres of metal, such as Viking metal and Pagan metal since they all sound basically the same except for the lyrics maybe, we can just say that whatever people would call it, in the end it will take us back to the days where human force was dominating.

How in the name of fuck is Manowar or Iron Maiden metal? Also, if you want to write an article, 'maybe' is not a legit term to use. On another note, there is no such thing as pagan metal. Viking metal is folk metal with black metal influences. Know what you're talking about before 'maybe' assuming crap. Listen to Falkenbach, Primordial, Moonsorrow, Manegarm and Myrkgrav. Moonspell sucks btw.
