Any Lebanese Metal Head would have noticed by now the increasing development of the national Metal Scene which was lately able to leave its print upon the worldwide Metal Community.

Lebanese bands are invading international concert, playing along with bands they always covered.

However, newly founded Lebanese bands are dealing with a multitude of social, financial, promotional and many other bumps.

Lebanon is a small Middle Eastern country, with traditional and outdated social standards, therefore playing in a Heavy Metal band is still widely considered as a main taboo. Metal musicians are still seen as a source of social threat, anti-religious figures and of course are considered extreme when it comes to clothing, styles and ideas.

As mentioned before, one of the issues facing Metal bands in Lebanon nowadays… Finances!

Newly founded bands have to pay for the regular basis practice sessions, acquiring the latest and most recent equipments, and of course... RECORDING!

Recording is almost every band’s dream. Band members work hard and sometimes overwork themselves so they can gather enough money to record and launch awesome tracks and albums!

Once the recording phase is done, promoting remains the biggest faced issue of all times.

Finances and promotion are the biggest lack the National Metal Scene had ever encountered. Most National bands give up the fight once they launch their masterpieces but never get to sell half the quantity they were hoping for.

And since our country is one of this world’s most untamed nations when it comes to copyrights, promotion will keep on suffering.

Add that most national bands tend to cover great bands’ Music rather than releasing originals, which created a serious main issue: 

Crowds are wrongfully attracted to cover bands, neglecting or just ignoring hard working bands with great originals.

These bumps, in addition to other minor and sometime major issues are what Metal Heads should really unite to enhance and improve and this article only aims to highlight some of these issues,
