Detox: a Lebanese punk band with a hard on for destruction.
Detox played a show last night, on Friday the 13th in babel theatre. The show was great; the band was fiery, with energy, and loud music.
The atmosphere was dark and wet, and it couldn’t have been better. In the middle of the room was a makeshift where people mosh pitted, and at one point started wrestling with encouragement from the band.
The band played loud and well, the instruments meshing together, but still you could hear each one. The energy like lightning never letting out. The punkish raw sound was refreshing to hear for once. Like mashing gun fire spraying us.
The crowd was wild with a constant mosh pit during the whole two and a half hours, people just ran at each other and bumped into each other, during one song people started wrestling each other, boys and girls it dint matter. It was fun, people letting out their pent up energy in such a matter.
Drinks weren’t available but you could get booze from an outside source, like a shop or something.
It was a pretty exhilarating experience; it was loud, fun, and crazy. Everyone should check out this band at least once.
