Biography

Eruption is the new name of ‘Anima Sola’ (since the name is taken in Spain) started in the late of July 2008 by 'Alexy Zein' that formed his first band with the guitarists 'Roy Lteif' and 'Rodrigue Freifer’, vocalist 'Charles Hk' and a drummer 'bassel Shammas'. By that time ‘Anima Sola’ (Eruption) kicked off with a variable style of music such as: heavy metal, Power metal and Rock. (Iron maiden, Metallica, Iced earth, Kiss, stratovarius, Staind…etc.). Meanwhile, the band deliberately started practicing. As the members were not experts enough, they trained hard to upgrade their skills hoping for a cherished future. In the late of 2008, the drummer had to leave the band for several reasons, and as a result, the members started looking for a new drummer. Nevertheless it was extremely thorny to find a good one, and the right one! Thus, problems occurred with the band, and it ended up with an absolute split! As a matter of fact, each member took his own way: Alexy Zein joined Antoine El Khoury’s metalcore band (that is known now as December Dies Alone [DDA]) Roy Lteif made his own Iron Maiden band (Frozen flames) Rodrigue also made his own band. In the summer of 2009, Alexy Zein, Charles hk and Rodrigue tried to revive the band again, but they failed! Until the day came in the late 2009, it was the guy’s first year at university. Hence, Alexy met ‘Jad Tannous’ . And the guys launched the idea of making a uni-band, moving on, Rami Daou, Also a talented professional drummer was joined by jad with the band and Charles became the band’s keyboardist after gaining some skills. The boys kicked off with some alternative songs (audioslave, some maidens, metallica) shifted styles, members… at this period, the decision of Alexy came to revive Anima Sola that was paused a whole year. As a result, it was a success, Roy Lteif joined back the band in a short term, and Charles was kicked off the band since big problems occurred between him and the band. On the other hand, Georges Daoud (An artistic pianist, keyboardist joined the band that performed with its new line up at usek’s forum concert in May 2010. After 2 month, Roy had to leave the band for time reasons, so he called his guitarist of Frozen Flames (wissam abboud: joined Eruption and made some changes: the name of the band was changed to: ERUPTION. This new line up performed many concerts such as: Eruption Rock’N Mon general that was one big successful concert, Last minute concert, Unleash the force … etc. In 2011, Georges and wissam got stuck by their time: georges started playing Piano by his own in coffee club, had tons of work; Wissam made his company: FREAK SHOW, and also had loads of work, and later on Rami with his work at Skybar. Thus, the guys had to leave the band, and there was only Alexy Zein(the founder) the only member in ERUPTION. He devastatingly lost hope for the band, and he was sure that it’ll never work again, it’s like the band has come to an complete dead END! BUT, Leo Kay (a professional innovative creative guitarist and composer), proved him wrong, and he really did revitalize the band with its new 80s style. The band performed in 2 events in the summer of 2011, ROCK’N Alonzo 2011 that was presumably a success, and Midnight Rock II (freak show) that was a small gig. Thus, Leo Kay made a big change for the band, and started writing eruption’s first album ‘Bad Girl’ known by his astonishing creation: ‘’SEX, DRUGS, ROCK N ROLL’’, that is in recording right now, and some other hits such as ‘bad girl’, ‘set me free’,’Do you know’, ‘reckless heart’ …etc and Alexy zein is finally recording his creations : ‘ Black ocean’ , and ‘first raindrop’, hoping a release of a successful album for the Lebanese rock and metal scene.. The album is presumed to be released in 2013! And yet the band needed the rest of its members, a new drummer and a new keyboardist. Hence, after several try outs, A very talented drummer ‘’Chadi Abou Zeid’’ has impressed the members with his skills, his awfully professional rolls and his abilities of creation. Hence, now Chadi has become one of Eruption’s nucleus members hoping for a brilliant future. At that time, Eruption performed in many gigs with these 4 members (such as: Sroud 3a broud, jingle Rocks) On the other hand, Alexy Zein had to play Guitar, keyboard and sing at the same time in which resulted a bad performance on the stage. Thus, the band needed a keyboardist. Whereas, Leo kay had successfully found the right musician to join Eruption as its Keyboardist: ‘’Samer Bekhazi’’ ( that is currently Eruption’s bassist), A tremendous gifted musician that has been raised by musicians( his father), he’s originally a bassist, although, He has the capacity to play more than 4 instruments in a qualified way, and also the capacity of creation. As a result, this line up has performed many concerts and gigs (such as: Scorpions night, WILL ROCK FOR BEER) W.R.F.B , was an Alexy Zein’s event in coordination with EARBLEND in the 10th of MARCH 2012, that day was Jad tannous’s birthday, and the day of his farewell at the same time, it was his time to quit. However, ‘’Samer Bekhazi’’ ( that is originally a bassist) had called his brother ‘’ Anis Bekhazi’’ ( that has the same lift up, and can also play more than 4 instruments) To join the band as its keyboardist ( since he’s a pianist ) and Samer got back to his bass and became Eruption’s bassist. Thus, Bekhazi Brothers are now one of Eruption’s nucleus members. And currently the band is recording its first album. So Stay tuned for some more info.
